Samui keeps its own seasons
Koh Samui's weather runs differently from Phuket and the Andaman coast. The heavy rain comes late in the year, so the island stays sunny and busy through the European summer.
Busiest: Christmas to Easter, plus July and August. Book these dates early.
Monsoon: October to December, wettest in November. Lower prices and a good time for long stays.
Where: villas across the island, from Bophut and Chaweng to Lamai, Maenam and the west coast.
